Nutrition figures are estimates

Values come from standard food composition tables for single ingredients, and from recipe averages for cooked dishes. The app labels which is which. Real food varies with the cut of meat, the amount of oil, the brand, the portion and the cook. Two plates of adobo from two households can differ by a third and both would be correct.

Treat the numbers as a reliable direction of travel rather than a measurement. If a figure looks wrong to you, it might be. Edit it.

Some entries name restaurant chains and packaged products. Those brand names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the food. The figures for them are KainFit's own estimates, and are neither provided nor endorsed by the brands.

Not medical advice

KainFit does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It does not know your medical history, your medication or your bloodwork. Nothing in the app should replace advice from a doctor, a dietitian or a qualified coach, particularly if you are pregnant, managing diabetes or another metabolic condition, recovering from an eating disorder, or under 18. If you are unwell, speak to a professional rather than to a calculator.

Your data, your responsibility

Everything you log is stored on your device and nowhere else. That is good for privacy, and it means the backup is on you. Clearing your browser data, losing the device or uninstalling removes your history and it cannot be recovered. The export option in the profile screen writes a file you can keep.

Using the app

KainFit is provided free for personal use. Do not attempt to break it, overload it, resell it or pass it off as your own. The food database, the wording and the design are the property of their owners and are not licensed for reuse.

No warranty

The app is provided as it is, without warranty. It may contain errors, it may be unavailable at times, and a figure may be wrong. To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from use of the app or from reliance on its estimates. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows when that last happened, and continuing to use the app after a change means the current version applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
